Autumn Fun

Our October Peace IV day took place this week with students travelling between Drumman, Portlean and Castletown NS. The theme was autumn/animals so we explored as much as possible under this theme which even included an excuse to go on a nature walk!

Lots of activities took place in the each of the three schools.

The senior classes spent the day in Portlean carving pumpkins, creating spider artwork & taking part in a Halloween quiz.

The middle classes created leaf art and embarked on a nature walk around the surrounding areas of Castletown to gather autumn leaves, sticks, acorns and conkers.

The junior classes stayed in Drumman where they took part in a scavenger hunt and made some spook-tacular straw pumpkin and scarecrow faces.

The children really captured the beauty of autumn through their artistic abilities as well as learning new things about nature and most importantly having fun catching up with their friends from Castletown and Portlean.

A great day was had by all.
