The pupils in Drumman have been very lucky to have had the opportunity to learn Spanish in school. Did you know it’s the second most popular language in the world!
Our Spanish language tutor Laura Sierra conducted lessons with classes from 2nd to 6th. Her fun-packed activities taught basic conversation skills to the pupils and helped to prepare our 6th class pupils for the further development of their language skills at secondary school.
The lessons were specially designed for children to enjoy with the aim of having fun through songs, stories, dance, games and plenty of interactive activities.
Learning a language helps children understand their own language, improves their confidence, develops their social skills, teaches the children to accept and respect people from different traditions and enables them to communicate with people from other countries.
Thank you to Laura for coming into Drumman. Our students really enjoyed taking part in their weekly Spanish lessons.
