We have been encouraging students to “buddy up” to promote reading in our classrooms.
The school has been following the “buddy reading” programme where older and younger students are paired up to spend time with books and read together.
This program is very effective in fostering the students’ love for reading. Buddies, buddy up in different classrooms, an older student and younger student, and they sit and they read together.
It is clear from today’s photos that there’s a lot of excitement around reading which is what we are trying to promote here in Drumman.
