In conjunction with Triathlon Ireland, the boys and girls in fifth and sixth class took part in the Tri-Heroes programme. The programme is designed to help schools introduce triathlon activities. It teaches the basics of lifelong skills in cycling and running in a manner that inspires, motivates and challenges children.
A big thank you to Gavin Crawford for delivering the programme to our students in Drumman. He worked on their running and cycling techniques as well as practicing triathlon transitions.
The students completed the week by putting their new skills into practice by taking part in a duathlon around the school grounds. The boys and girls had lots of fun participating.
Well done to all our fully fledged Tri-Heroes!
