Drumman celebrates Bike Week in Glenveagh

Our senior class had a fantastic day out celebrating Bike Week with a memorable trip to Glenveagh National Park! We hired bikes  from Grassroutes and set off to explore the stunning grounds, cycling all the way to the majestic waterfall.

The group included cyclists of all abilities, from beginners to seasoned riders. It was brilliant to see the beginners grow in confidence throughout the day, while the more advanced students challenged themselves on the tougher uphill climbs. Everyone got to take part thanks to the availability of Grassroutes’ electric wheelchair, ensuring full inclusivity on this active adventure.

After a morning of pedalling and exploring, everyone was treated to a well deserved ice-cream on the way home. Even the teachers had fun cycling in Glenveagh. The trip has left a lasting impression, sparking a real enthusiasm for cycling among the students. Many are now more motivated than ever to hop on their bikes and keep the momentum going beyond Bike Week!
