European Week of Sport 2025

This year, Health Promotion & Improvement invited all Donegal Primary Schools to take part in the “Be Active Schools’ Challenge” as part of European Week of Sport (23rd–30th September). The aim was to encourage schools to incorporate more movement into the daily routines of students, staff and families.

To celebrate, our whole school took part in a week of inclusive, active and fun-filled activities that encouraged participation from everyone.

Classes joined in the Daily Mile allowing every pupil to walk, jog or run at their own pace.

We also enjoyed active homework that got parents moving too along with relays and a maths hunt to link physical activity with learning for some fun cross-curricular integration.

We are delighted to have won the award for showcasing parental involvement in promoting physical activity and received a €100 voucher for MC Sports.

A huge well done to our pupils, parents and staff for their fantastic enthusiasm and teamwork throughout the week!
