The senior room are taking part in the Junior Entrepreneur Programme. They had a visit from local businessman Seimí Mc Daid from Football Special who came in to speak to the pupils about his experience in business and to help them begin their own entrepreneurial journey.
He spoke to the students about the challenges and enjoyment of being self employed and being an entrepreneur. Seimí explained how the Football Special brand has grown over the years and how the business has stayed in the family for generations. He talked about the importance of hard work, commitment and believing in your ideas. He also shared stories about the day to day life of running a business and making decisions that help a company succeed.
The children asked plenty of questions throughout his visit and were very engaged in learning about how a local business operates. They were especially interested in how the famous drink is made although Seimí did not reveal the secret ingredient! He kindly gifted each child a bottle of Football Special which was a lovely surprise and added to the excitement of the day.
A big thank you to Seimí for giving the pupils such an inspiring start to their project. His visit has sparked great enthusiasm in the senior room as they begin developing their own ideas for the Junior Entrepreneur Programme.
