What an incredible day we had celebrating creativity, collaboration and confidence as part of our Peace Plus Drama Day!
Students from Drumman and Portlean came together across both schools, creating a wonderful atmosphere of friendship, teamwork and shared experiences. It was fantastic to see everyone mixing so naturally and supporting one another throughout the day.
We were delighted to welcome drama teacher Karen Gallinagh Murphy, who brought energy, expertise and great fun to every session. The children fully immersed themselves in a wide range of activities throughout the day including role play, puppet-making, improvisation and confidence-building exercises.
There was plenty of laughter, imagination and creativity on display as students stepped into different characters, worked together to create stories and expressed themselves in new and exciting ways. The puppet-making was a particular highlight, with some brilliant creations and storytelling to match!
Most importantly, the day helped to build confidence, encourage self-expression and strengthen friendships across both schools. It was truly heartwarming to see every child get involved, take risks and shine in their own way.
A memorable and meaningful day for all we are already looking forward to the next one!
